Brand New F450 18.6 MPG!
So I now have my new 2016 F450. First trip from the dealer to pick up the new camper...... empty I got 18.6 on the computer........18.4 hand calculated. The trip was 600 miles and my speed was 50 - 55 MPH. I was driving for maximum mpg. terrain was hilly. included I-89 and I-90 through Vermont. Once I got the camper on I got 14.2 on the return trip home.
Now that I'm back I'm getting 12.8 but the trips are short, under 50 miles, and the camper lives on the truck.

Great color,,, Nice rig, slides on a slide-in. clearly I know nothing about slide-ins... I like my slide in the travel trailer.. first slide for me.
Great mileage..
my 250 down in SC,,, 400 mile round trip.. I got 19.2 by hand and empty, Powered by GAS.. but like you 50-55. not trying for mpg, that was the posted speed.

Very pretty truck and a great choice in campers. We've been looking at truck campers for a trip out west next year - don't really want to haul the big 5th wheel - can't get into a lot of parks with it. Arctic Fox and Lance are both on the short list of slide ins.
Congrats on a great looking setup.

I am at the GVWR now and I'm not really loaded up with stuff like I will be in future trips. The nice thing about the Arctic Fox are the huge capacity holding tanks. 60 gal. fresh, 43 black and 43 grey. I also got the dry bath. The whole camper has a residential feel to it. Plus it has an 8 cubic foot fridge. All appliances are stainless steel. I've got the 1140 model. So far - so good. I'm happy with the purchase combo and it sure beats 5-7 mpg in most gas motor homes. The truck is quiet and smooth like a Lincoln.

id be interest to know what your axle weights are loaded up
I run through the scales daily with a gooseneck trailer and I'm finding I'm always 1 to 200lbs over on the front axle without maxing out the 9100 on the rear
I'm thinking empty the front axle is almost at its max but I havnt had a chance to weigh it empty yet
