I think it's totaled

My wife, son and I just got home from a 2.5 week vacation. We had a nice time until the evening of July the 7th, 2016.
We stayed on Ski Mountain, Gatlinburg Tennessee. A Sever Thunder Storm came through hard and fast. Within just a few minutes we seen two large tree's coming down. And naturally, they came down on my 2011 F150 Super Crew, yes it's my baby
After the weather settled down, and we could get outside to take a look, I was right, they landed on my truck.
A day later a tree service came and cut the two off of my truck. After a short test drive through the area, I felt safe to drive my baby home, and living in North Carolina, I didn't want to leave my truck in Tennessee.
Every time I look at my truck, I notice more damage. The entire front clip is toast. The entire right side of the truck is about an inch lower than the left side. Only body panels that don't have damage are both doors on the drivers side, and the right/passenger rear door.
I'm sure it's totaled, insurance is supposed to call me back tomorrow.
We rented this place that is owned by an individual, who also owns the property across the street, and next door. They've already admitted owning all of the property that the tree's came from, and now won't return a call. So it's been turned into our insurance company, under my comprehensive coverage, then they'll go after the property owner.
My truck was almost half paid for, and turned 50K on the way home.....yes I drove him home, 5 hours, and 256 miles without a single issue's. Well maybe a few comestic issues.

Sorry for the long vent everybody.
But I have to let this out.

Unk Bob

Man that sucks! I don't think it's totaled but it's a lot of body work for sure. Keep us updated on the progress of repair or replacement.

Dang Bob, sorry to see this but more importantly, you are all safe and sound. The truck is just a machine.

Absolutely buddy! The truck can be fixed or replaced, but at least nobody was hurt.

I'd be fine if it isn't totaled, it has 50K on it, and almost half paid for. But with all of the damage that's there, and I'm sure that the frame is bent too. So I'm really thinking it's a loss.

If the frame is bent I'm sure they will total it. It could be riding lower on one side due to broken body mounts also.

Glad nobody got hurt. I agree, doesn't look like a total loss to me, but the insurance company will decide that I suppose. All depends on how she looks underneath.

Glad no one was hurt. I had a 93 Bronco and my neighbors tree fell on it. Wond up we had the same home owners insurance company. They would not pay to fix my Bronco they said if the tree fell on the fence, garage lawn mower it would be fixed, but not the Bronco unless the neighbor was cutting the tree down when it fell on the Bronco. This is in Ohio though so laws might be different

That was a rough storm for 2011 trucks. I was in Piegon Forge that eveing and my 2011 got some hail damage. Looks like your truck took a pretty good lick. Just glad everyone was ok.

If the property owner's insurance won't take care of my truck, the comprehensive coverage that we have, will. So I'm alright there.

That was a good storm alright, just seconds after the wind picked up, the tree's came down, and took down a power line by the house too. What a light show.

It took two day's when I was told one, but the two company did finally show up and haul my baby off. I hope to hear something in the next day or two if it's fixable or not.
This truck set level side to side, front to back before the two tree's fell on it.
Now, hurry up and wait some more.

Just heard from our insurance company, and my baby is not totaled. Almost 10k in damages, and he said hat 13k would have totaled it. But I also don't think the guy in the is real slick. The appraiser also couldn't tell me why the entire truck is leaning to the right, real hard.
So it's going to get worse yet.

Time to pop a top
