New truck break-in

New truck break-in
No my truck wasn't broken into I hope to purchase a 2016 F250 6.2L 4x4 4.3 gear in the next couple of weeks. I plan to load the truck with a 1700#+ slide-in camper and pull an 18 foot boat on a few camping trips. I'll be pulling the load over a mountain pass (Cascades/Oregon). Does the truck need to be driven a certain way for xxx number of miles to break it in or can I just drive it like I normally do. Is it bad for the truck to stress it with the above load right away or should I drive around unloaded for a while. I want to do what's right for the 40K investment. Thanks

You're going to get lots of different opinions on this one. Here's what your owner's guide will say:
BREAKING-IN
You need to break in new tires for
approximately 300 miles (480
kilometers). During this time, your vehicle
may exhibit some unusual driving
characteristics.
Avoid driving too fast during the first 1000
miles (1600 kilometers). Vary your speed
frequently and change up through the
gears early. Do not labor the engine.
Do not tow during the first 1000 miles
(1600 kilometers).
