Moog variable rate spring question

Hey everyone. I have a 76 f250 2wd camper special w/390.

So I'm trying to install the Moog variable rate coil spring but I'm running into an issue with the upper spring mount brackets, they wont fit the new coil. Are the stock brackets supposed to fit these springs or do I need to order a special set?
The top of the new coils are shaped a bit differently then the stock ones but everything says they should be a direct fit. I know, famous last words. Just wondering if anyone has ran into this issue.
I will try to get some pictures to make this a bit more clear.

I guess that's always a possibility. Moog tech support closed for the weekend before I could call today.

Pulling up this old thread as I ran into the same exact problem today. Did you ever find a solution?

Can you post a pic of your issue? Is it the wire diameter being the wrong size, or is the shape totally wrong? Like trying to fit a 4wd coil into a 2wd bucket, or vise versa?

Good luck.

You bought the wrong springs. The cc808 are for 1/2 ton 2wd trucks and some non camper specials. I made the same mistake last year. These are the correct springs for a camper special
