So I went back out to see if I could see smoke while cranking and I couldn't. I also cranked it for about 5 seconds and went to the exhaust to see if I smelt any fuel and I didn't. My fuel pressure gauge was reading about 22psi while cranking. I also read that You need 4 things to crank the engine. 100rpm, 500 psiIpr pressure, 20 psi fuel pressure, and 1-6milliseconds pulse width. I have all of that except I don't know what psilpr pressure is and my pulse width is 1.5 seconds

Your injection pressure is 2600-some psi.

Is that good? Sorry this is my first Diesel engine so I'm learning as I'm going

So you guys are going to hate me but, I found out the problem. My 30a fuse was blown and it took taking it to a shop to figure that out. Thank you for all the help. I made a rookie mistake and forgot to look at the simpler stuff first

Which 30A fuse? There are a bunch. Fuses seldom just blow; whatever circuit(s) that fuse is protecting should be inspected.

It was the fuel bowl heater fuse. It is being inspected tomorrow by my trusted ford diesel mechanic. He said that the fuel bowl heater has been replaced recently but was put in upside down

That fuse also powers the PCM. You must have some other wiring issue, or something hacked in. With that fuse blown, you shouldn't even get a WTS light, and certainly shouldn't be getting any live data feed from the PCM. Maybe some sneak circuit kicked in with that fuse blown.

In any event, your best bet is to leave the filter heater disconnected. It's no longer needed with today's diesel fuel; there are people well into the Great White North who are running just fine without it.

Okay, thank you for all the help. I was probably just going to leave it disconnected anyways. I don't know why the light was still on either but at least it runs now

I got the truck back from the shop and I went through 2 fuses within a mile. It's the #30 fuse under the 5std location that keeps blowing

It's the solid light green 30 fuse at the top left that keeps blowing

You mean the left column, first one closest to the smaller fuses? That's fuse H, aka fuse #8, which energizes the IDM relay. Either that relay is suspect, or you may have some issue with the IDM itself shorting to ground.

Yeah sorry, I was in the tow truck so I didn't have much time to explain but it is that fuse. So where do you think I should start?

I never unplugged the fuel bowl heater. Should I start with that?

Swap the 2 middle relays in your pic. The 2ond from the bottom is the IDM relay, the 3rd is the horn relay.
