I've tried calling their local number twice today. Voicemail only. I hope we don't get another Sherwood not answering the phone thing here... Will keep on it. I hate to call the corporate 800 number as you just get an Encore rep that books for hundred of different campgrounds and has no local info that might be helpful to the group...

OK, now I'm getting somewhere. I spoke with a VERY nice lady in the office named Joanne. She said that booking direct was best to get us in a group area and that they could do it more than a year in advance whereas the website, as we found last night, has a one year limit on it. She told me to hold off for today as her managers (husband and wife) likely have left but that she did give them my name and contact info when I left my voicemail earlier. If I don't hear from them first thing in the AM, I have their direct number so that I can talk about blocking off sites and a group discount. So, by noon tomorrow, I should have more details and now that I have a direct contact, perhaps we can get a block of sites together and a better rate...

No problem. It my turn. I'm just hoping everyone can come again. Sometimes things are never the same the second time around like sequels to movies. I'm hoping this will be the exception and be even better... (if possible) I want to convert as many of the lobster haters as I can while we're at it too...

Like I tell everyone that tells me that. I'm 45 and really irritated that I don't like lobster and crab. It's really a PITA because my wife LOVES it. I'll try it...that's not really an issue at all. I just don't like anything that I've tasted before and I've tried a lot of different catches over the years. I'll try it...just be prepared for me to order some other fish like salmon or perch after I come to the decision that it's not for me

Hey buddy, you can order whatever you like. It's all good as long as you can make it. Heck, they have plenty of NY Strip and Tenderloin too....
I think the only ones I can swing to the lobster side are those who haven't tried Maine lobster. Anything else is just a big crayfish and tastes completely different.
