New Member New F250 Owner
Hi,
Although I've spent several months lurking here I just signed up so here's my introduction. I had a F150 but had been looking to upgrade my towing capability so I looked at and test drove a GMC 2500/6.6 and an F250/6.7. I read the heck out of this forum to educate myself and get user feedback especially since this was my first foray into the diesel world with all of the EPA mandated crapola. What I read here about some of the problems owners have had (jackhammer, regen, etc.) scared the heck out of me so much that I went ahead and got me a brand spanking new F250 6.7 lol.
As of this post I have about 1400 miles on clock and one tow job so far. The motor in this this thing is stupid powerful. I pulled my extra tall 16' enclosed trailer full of furniture like it wasn't even there. While my F150 pulled this trailer locally, you knew it was working. And with planned runs to Colorado and North Carolina, I needed the right tool for the job and think this is it.
I did get a CEL at around the 1300 miles and had it at the dealer yesterday...I'll post a quick synopsis on the corrective action on the 6.7 sub-forum.
Anyway, I've learned a lot here from people willing to share their knowledge which allowed me to make my purchase eyes-wide-open. Thanks all!
