f100 sway bars

hi

Any recommendations on installing sway bars on a '73 f100 4x4? Any particular models of sway bars?

I will not be rock crawling or doing any serious off-roading. Just regular driving with some light off-road.

Thank you,
Nick

I recall 4wd 78/79 half tons having them... take a look at that system.

Makes me wonder if anyone has ever modded a sway bar system from another vehicle and installed it on a dent.

'78/'79 Broncos would be the most likely candidates to find a front (and rear) factory sway bar assembly for a 4WD Dentside F100/F150.

I did it the other way around. I installed a '79 Bronco rear sway bar on my '69 2WD F100. Technically, it shouldn't fit because the '78/'79 Bronco rear frame rails are 4" (overall) wider than my '69 F100 frame rails. I had to do a little finagling to install it on my truck but, it works like it should. On a '73-'79 F100/F150 2WD/4WD with a Ford 9-inch rear end, it should be a straight forward bolt-on.

....on the front, my front sway bar came from a '78 2WD F250 Camper Special. --my disc brake front suspension is from a '77 2WD F100. The Dentside 4WD front sway bar/assembly will differ but, this is just an example of the '75-'79 2WD F100-F350 front sway bar assembly on my '69 F100 Ranger.
