Wrong transmission linkage bushing?

I have a 1989 ford f250 xlt lariat, 2wd 7.5L gas. Last weekend what I thought was the transmission linkage bushing broke and have been using duct tape as a temporary fix to hold the the bar connected to the transmission. After snapping the second replacement bushing I bought trying to install it and then looking back at the picture of the original borken part I realized that the size is all wrong for replacement supplied by autozone.

Here is a link to the kit i've gone through 2 of:
Dorman/Transmission Shift Rod Bushing 14041- ReadReviews onDorman #14041

Can anyone point me to the actual part I am looking for or let me know that I am probably trying to get it on wrong if it is the right part.

They just gave you a generic bushing kit. That bushing is likely a dealer part, sadly.

Can dealers even get new parts for vehicles that old usually? Will probably call a local ford dealer Tuesday and try my luck.

Automatic
The bushing (7341 in pic) snaps into the manual control selector lever (7A256). The problem is, there are several different types.

1989 F250 7.5L (460) with E4OD:

E2AZ-7341-A .. Manual Control Selector Lever Nylon Bushing / Available from Ford

Where in TX do you live?

I live just north of San Antonio. Did that diagram come from a service manual I can buy? Would be nice for a general future reference.

1980/89 Ford Light Truck Parts Catalog, available on a C/D from hipoparts.com
E2AZ-7341-A .. Manual Control Selector Lever Bushing / Available from Ford.

NORTH PARK LINCOLN-SUBARU in San Antonio TX has 4 = 210-341-8841 ext 261.

The local Ford dealers (that I'm aware of) in Fredericksburg & San Antonio probably also have it.

Note: The description on the Ford D2D (Dealer to Dealer, Ford dealer parts locator system) says it's rubber...which is news to me.
