Car show in Central PA and how I did.

I took both my trucks to the Lock Haven PA car show today. They changed the format this year. Instead of picking winners in 18 or so classes the car club members picked the top 25 vehicles, then the best car and best truck and then they had 3 special awards.

I stood by the PA System listening to see if I was in the top 25... nope. Those winners got a plaque. Then they called out the top car and top truck... nope. Thos two got $100. Then they had special awards: first one for $50... nope; second one in memory of a deceased club member... winner Abe Stauffer 1954 F-100! I got a $100 check and a huge trophy! Totally unexpected! I was hoping to make the top 25.

That is a nice reward for the sacrifice and the effort you have invested. You surely have to have what my wife calls a "sneaky smile". You probably cannot wait till the next show!

Great news, Abe.
And it looks like the show had some airplanes flying around too? Very cool!

Nice job Abe! I see you have her "tucked in for the night", proudly with her trophyl! Sleep tight, well deserved! Just curious if the Wife drove the other one to the show?

Thanks guys for all the nice comments.

Tom, the show was held on the Piper Airport which is where the world famous Piper Cub and other Piper light aircraft were built u til they moved out in the mid 80's.

Last week the Piper Fly In was held there they had over 200 planes there, most of them were the little yellow Piper Cub J-3.

My wife doesn't know how to drive standard. A friend drove the 55 there.
