I did pull the coolant exit port cover off today and Back flushed with water and a mix of compressed air

I haven't drove to far but did get it hot and Oil would go up but also come down fairly rapid like it should

I keep you updated current cooler is only 30 days old

That hose is a good idea for back flush BUT it needs a way to just hook a hose to and give if a Good water flow flush

The tee fitting would need one side plugged

Any reason you wouldn't consider the BPD air oil cooler?

I can think of 2045. If the system is clean and maintained, OEM does the best job.

That bpd is nice and never worry again about that problem but its overpriced for most, not that its not worth it but just cost more than some can afford,id like to have one but funds dont allow, then again can buy several oem coolers for that cost.

It is expensive but the adage you get what you pay for is true

There's also a saying in sales that says, "if the customer thinks they got a good deal, then they did."

I wish! But I installed my kit several years ago and have had zero issues with it, I think to be a good salesman you have to believe in the product so I could sell sleep number beds, BPD kits, and weber grills

Going to have to disagree with you on that one.

How about another reason?

BENNY, you can drill/tap that cover and install a brass fitting over the cooler outlet hole so you can put a reg 3/8id or bigger hose on, get a heater flush kit from any auto parts store for a few bucks to hook a garden hose to, flush every week if you need to. Your coolers still new.

That was part of my thinking and using the bulletproof diesel oil cooler relocation kit I could splice in a high flow coolant filter and it could be easily back flushed

Plus it's easy to change

But the air to oil cooler is pretty close to the same money IIRC

I'm just concerned the oil may stay little cool in winter here iirc they regulate at 180* EOT THERMOSTATE that seams a touch cool
I DONT Want to increase injector sticktion by running to cool EOT my inject need the spools cleaned

Sticky ion will always be an issue but was hoping to put a oil cleaning centrifuge in but I need the truck to not breakdown for a min to afford it there around $500-600 for an oil cleaning centrifuge if there advertisment was correct it did an awesome job at cleaning The centrifuge would take black oil and clean it and get close to the original brown colored oil within like 1000 miles

It appears to give you 0-2 degree "deltas" by bypassing the oil cooler altogether!

So instead of an oil temp "delta", your entire engine just runs hotter!!
