I think it would be OK. Spinning the passenger-side wheel by hand spins the wheel, the half-shaft, and on into the diff's axle extension housing to the disconnect, which disconnects the passenger side axle from the passenger side's diff side gear.
Even with the jack under the control arm, I see that the half-shaft's CV joints are not exactly in-line, so they WILL be adding some mechanical loss as they rotate through their angles.
But a heck of a lot better than spinning a wheel by hand, while the wheels were hanging all the way down at their suspension limit!
