Good evening everyone. Picked up the van, my mind is blown.

I don't think so. I walked in and he explained that this wasn't warrantable and that they were eating the cost. He explained all the evidence of damage, showed me a photo, and pointed out the visible spots where they had to seal the scraped up paint. Windshield is brand-new OEM glass. I didn't pay for it, and with this on the work order Ford didn't either:
In its past life this van was a rental, so it stands to reason that quality of work wasn't the primary concern.
I'd say hats-off to Hayford Ford!!!! They made good on someone elses bogus repair...
Not only commendable but worth sharing to anyone that will listen.
I would even be compelled to write them a very nice letter of recommendation and mailing it to them.. Not email either..

I completely agree Randy. After the service writer's explanation this morning I fully expected to pay for the work. I told my wife the same this morning...it's not the dealer's fault that someone else hacked it up for the former owner.
Apparently the total for the glass work was north of $800. I didn't see the itemized statement, but including what's being billed to warranty for the A/C and recalls the total was $1,263.
