Mt BinL bought a place here in VA (A Federal Gov't foreclosure) . When he got his tax bill it was for 1/3 acre more than he or the gov't knew about. It's a nice spot for a garden.
The feds are not always right (surprising isn't it?) I know of another guy who bought a govt. foreclosure with 5 acres of land. He had it surveyed and was surprised at the bill. Turns out the parcel was really 25 acres.

Good evening gang. Man do I hate NYS emissions testing as part of the annual inspection. Took the truck into the garage today for inspection and some minor work (oil change and a new coil on #2 cylinder that was mis firing.) Before I went into the hospital, the check engine light was on. Disconnected the battery Thursday and reconnected last night to reset the computer. Ran it in the driveway for 30 minutes last night. Today, wife drove and we put about 35 miles on it to hopefully get the computer ready to be hook up for the emissions part. It had two monitors that were not ready for testing. Garage said to put another 30 miles on it.
Just as we pulled into the lot of the garage, the @!#?$%~ CEL came on. Garage pulled the codes and it was lean on bank 1. It has the Triton tick on the passenger side so garage recommend replacing the exhaust manifold. We had set it up to be dropped off on Tuesday. They also cleared the codes so we could drive it again and hopefully get it inspected Monday without doing the manifold. Well got about 10 miles down the road and the CEL came back on. So, going to be dropping about $500 for the manifold replacement and that is on top of TH new wipers and coil that were done today.

Got too much into it...lol. Plan to get another 3 years out of it. The exhaust manifold has been leaking for the last 4 years...maybe 5. I have been sqeaking it by the last couple of years inspection wish. Wife pretty much said to get it done before I mentioned to do it. I am just tired of playing the game to get it to pass the emission part. Safety part, it just needed a wiper blade because the edge was torn about 6". So I had them replace both because the other one was showing some wear.
