Replacing the VW Passat TDi as it is being bought back by VW because of the diesel Emissions scandal. Getting back almost exactly the same amount that the MKZ sold for!

Evening NY. Just back from NC
Bud, I ran across a lot of hybrids in NC that are up for sale due to the owners expecting the batteries to wear out, and they are not sure what the replacement cost will be.

Hi Don. We were trying to find a car for grand daughter. I think my grandson and me finally convinced son-in-law NOT to buy from any so-called dealers down there. (Not like brand name dealers) These crooks buy at auctions, inflate the price , won't negotiate, and sell as is. No warranty. One "dealer" had on description "good tires" . If those were good, I'd hate to see what bad tires would look like. NC does not have any consumer protection laws.

Evening guys. Finally got the truck to pass inspection and we got the wife's Edge squared away with a new wheel bearing on the right rear. That thing runs nice and quiet now.
While at the garage yesterday, I asked them what the deal was with my y pipe. Come to find out that after 16 NY winters, the y pipe on the right side between the front O2 sensor and the mounting flange to the exhaust manifold is rotted about half way around. Found out that the y pipe through them would be $1,200 to$1,300. Was looking on Rockauto and I can get both sides for just over $800 and my garage would install them for me. Figure I will get done before winter because once the pipe lets go, that thing will be loud.
