Dealer called me today to let me know I have an ETA for the week 8/8. I, nor the dealer, are counting on it but it is on the sheet. My truck and my dealers Lariat were the 2 early promised trucks, both builds were "bucked" meaning it is built and out of the factory. However, with the new body and the document reading my build date still as 7/18 no one is 100% sure yet. The sales manger thought that bucked may be that all parts are there and the truck is basically on the line ready to go, with no problems for parts or anything like that. Next Thursday should tell more. Pic attached:
Can you check with your dealer to see if he any F450 Vins?
No they have not ordered any 450's. All vins are 250/350's. They have ordered one Chassis Cab but it is their only retail order, and no Vin on that yet. Neither of their 2 fleet orders have Vins either.
Grumble... Still no VIN or change in my status. Ordered the first week you could, it's a standard retail order with priority 10... I know retail order will hold it up compared to dealer...
i have a feeling (nothing to support it) but i truly think trucks will be built and delivered quicker than many of us are expecting. I thinbk that ford realizes the excitement and impatience poeple are showing for the 2017's and hopfully ford is putting evbeything they got towards ensuring a smooth, timely roll out of what is the first mjaor redesign of their most valueable pickup truck. Maybe im just niaeve?

Yep, very naive. Ford doesn't care about our "excitement." You think people weren't just as excited about the 2015 Mustang, the 2015 F-150, the 2017 Raptor, on and on? Ford is going to roll these out according to their plan. Yes, they want to start selling and making money on these, but they aren't going to put the final product in our hands until it is definitely ready to go. You only get to make a first impression once. If the trucks roll out early and then have issues, people start thinking the new Super Duty is junk.
