1977 Highboy axle restoration help?
Hey guys - My '77 Highboy has been rock solid reliable since my dad bought it new in '76. It has about 90k miles and as far as I know the entire drive train has been left alone, and possibly has never had any fluid changes, other than motor oil - not sure, but I'm assuming it's all original.
I'd like to do a small "restoration" of the axles, transfer case, transmission (4spd) and maybe suspension (rear springs sag with a small load). Not looking for any serious upgrades. I'm really just looking to replace seals, regrease bearings, clean and paint and change all of the fluids. Maybe paint the frame. The motor was rebuilt about a year and a half ago.
The truck is surprisingly leak/drip free. Occasionally a few drips from around the transfer case, but that's about it. No leaks from the axles anywhere, but after nearly 40 years I'm sure a refresh would be beneficial.
My question is where can I find a set of seals/gaskets/bearings/whatever else I need for rebuilding the front D44hd and the rear D60? Not looking for the ring and pinion kit, just the outer ends around the hubs. Not having any luck finding anything online. Is there a how to for this that I'm not seeing?
Or is all of this not necessary unless it's leaking? lol...

I'm pretty sure basic seals and bearings are available from a local parts store or Rock Auto or LMC truck. That is the situation for my '78 at least/
As a suggestion, if you are not sure about oil changes on the axles or transfer case go ahead and change the fluid. A couple of gaskets (or RTV) plus the fluid itself is all that is needed. Good idea to pull/clean/inspect/regrease front wheel bearings. Beyond that, I would not disassemble unless there is a problem.
