There a collector in Sweden that owns 1000's of American Cars, mostly from the 1950/60's. He has two guys ('bird dogs') in the US that go around and buy cars for him.

Over the past 20 years, I've sold him 2 1963 Galaxie 500 XL's and a 1963 Studebaker GT R-2 Super Hawk.

I asked his name, they wouldn't tell me, but they did tell me that his family owns a shipping line.

Ok, so it's been slow going until now, but finally it's starting to happen: My truck is leaving Missouri this coming week, beginning its long journey across the Atlantic Ocean to Sweden! I had to clear space in my garage, so I sold my 1975 SAAB to a young woman from Germany, and she picked it up last Monday. The shipping company (Viking Transport) has been notified, and Wednesday is the magic day!

I'm told that I'm acting like an expecting father...

What's wrong with that? You're "expecting" a bouncing baby Bumpside.

Which color arrow represents the travels of the ship that's carrying it?

I was just joking. Since the arrows are all over the place facing different directions.

So, four months ago, to the day, I signed the papers and bought my pickup in Macon, Missouri. Today a friend and I are driving up to the port in Gothenburg to collect her from the toll authorities. My project can finally get going for real! A little more time, and a little more money than I had figured on, but hey, who cares right! I've got my bumpside pickup!

Pictures will go up tonight when I get home... I wonder if she's as pretty on a rainy fall day in Sweden as she was on a sunny summer day in the US...
