flashers, brake lights work but no turn signals

OK guys, 96 f250 7.3 4x4. My turn signals quit working but my emergency flashers and brake lights work. I had just put in a new turn signal assembly on the steering wheel, everything worked fine. Wife took truck on a 1500 mile trip and when she came home the turn signals didn't work however the brake lights and the emergency 4 ways work just fine. I checked the fuses on the left side of the dash and under the hood they all appear fine, could it be that round blinker thing that is in with the dash fuses or just what?

May have solved my own problem. I took the round flasher thing out and put it back in and the turn signals work, Do you folks think I should buy a spare in case they go off again?

no just change it . they are the weak link in the system, and cost under $5
turn signal flasher is in the fuse box, the one for the 4 ways is behind the glove box.

Both flashers are in the fuse box. The emergency flasher is on the "blind" side of the fuse box. Only the '87-'91 trucks had the emergency flasher on the passenger side.
