Did you pull the spout connector when setting the timing? And where did you set it for base timing?

This should get you going in the right direction. I can't find a diag for a 7.5 but this will give you an idea.

https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...e-problem.html

Also you need to have the spout (little connection by distributor) out to set timing. And the MAP sensor vacuum hooked up.

If nothing else plug all vac leaks and just hook up the MAP for now to get timing set.

map is pluged into back of TB
all wire's and hose's were chew up and or gone by rats , so its been a long trace out.

it runs a lil better sucking air rather ten pluging them off

ok i found this image seems close i have no idea what or do i see what is to the right of the MAP on this diagram

The device to the right of the MAP is the air-bypass valve for the AIR/Smog system.

air bypass hmmm the rats must have ran off with that doodad cause it is nowhere to be found ,, i pluged that line into the line coming out of the heater/ air on firewall lol ,,,
seams to be running ok , took it for a short spin around the property , likes to run hot for some reason , oh well , all it has to do is haul 1000 gallons of water from the well to the house , a few times a week, be a little heavy but , thats a 3 mile trip so it will serve its purpose ...

thank-you for all the help you guys are great ,

well took it for its first haul , 1000 gal tank in bed , ran great till i got to the first hill , took an hour and a half to get 3 miles, cutting out , had to keep cycling the fuel pumps to keep it moving , so i get home and put a gauge on the fuel rail , 38 psi ,, but give it some fuel and it slowly drops to 5 so i guess it time for a high pressure pump funny how this thing is wanting new parts ,,,, no engine light , no codes , so i assume the computer restets and dont hold codes in memory ,,

It can take a while for these systems to set a code. These early systems don't have any way to check for misfire performance or anything like that. Their only feedback on how the engine is doing is through the O2 sensor.

So the only code this truck would have given you in this situation is a "lean" code, which isn't very useful since you already know its lean, since your fuel pressure is low.

Before condemning the high pressure pump, make sure it does the same thing on both tanks.
