Anyone know the torque spec for the bolts on the center "cap"/hub of the dually rear axle?


Can't seem to find it using search, here or on the web.

Are you talking about the 8 bolts that hold the axle into the hub?

The Dana specs are tightened to 133 Nm (98 lb-ft).

The Ford rear end are tightened to 50 Nm (37 lb-ft) in a cross pattern followed by additional 90 degree rotation of each bolt in the same cross pattern.

I'm not sure what I'm talking about LOL. The center hub that is visible when the chrome hubcap is removed. If it wasn't pouring out I'd walk out and take a picture. I'd like to use one of those bolts to mount the Cat's Eye to. Mounting to the lugnut doesn't work as it throws the balance off. They recommended mounting as close the hub as possible. Not sure if I have a Dana or a Ford rear end... how would I know that?

 

Dually.....is a Dana 80.
