Removing glued on sound dampening
I am stripping the interior out of my 81 Courier, and being an XLT model it got a bunch of interior sound dampening glued into it. I need to take the floor to bare metal, what can I use to remove this stuff? It's kinda like Dyna Mat, but old and brittle so the heat and pull method isn't really working, but it's a bit too stuck to use a putty knife on too.
Is there a solvent or something that I can use on this stuff?

Dry ice is what we use on RX7s to remove the tar-based sound deadening goo on the floorpan. Leave a block of it in place for 10-15 minutes to freeze it solid, then hammer & chisel the sound deadening right off. Turns a monumental suck fest into a total joy.
