Northern tool spin on filter, now with installs

Yes my new pioneer head unit has usb and auxiliary ports in the rear which is the reason I installed the plug in the little cubby hole. My head unit will also "connect" through the USB to my new galaxy S7 and virtually turn the touch screen on the head unit into my phones screen, so whatever my phone can do I'll be able to use the touch screen on the radio to control and see whatever it may be. Kinda excited to use the Google maps while driving and have it on the radio screen and hear directions through my speakers in the truck

And I half installed my trans today, just a word of advice DON'T TRY THIS ALONE! It took me from 10:30 this morning till 615 tonight to get the trans bolted in, crossmemeber in, shifter cable properly adjusted and back in, harness connected, tease mounted, and driveshafts back in. I still have to fill the trans and tcase install my 6.0 trans cooler and mount the spin on filter and temporary use the original hard lines for the filter. I bought -AN fittings that connect directly to the tranmission in/output cooler holes and I'm going to buy Earls fittings and hose and run a real nice clean setup this coming week. After seeing the way it will be using hard line then fittings to rubber trans line and then back to Steel line just turned my stomach and seeing his good using -AN fittings and braided Earls hose I ordered a bunch of stuff from Jegs.com

I just wanted everything hooked up and running so I could check it all out before my vacation week. But I got annoyed and packed it in and I'll just wait for the stuff. Did tinker with the new radio and I can't get it to Bluetooth or mirrorlink for some reason! Starting to remember why I like being "old school" and keeping old simple reliable technology

I only ordered some stuff and I figured I could use the stock lines for the rest. But after mounting the filter where I wanted and deciding I'm ditching the stock stuff I might just order reverse flare fittings with hose clamp ends and just run rubber trans hose and install wire loom protector over it. Fittings are 2 bucks a piece and hose at the mom and pop store is w.50 a foot for 1/2" inch so it will be like thirty bucks to run it I assume

After searching the innerWeb and seen hydralic fittings are inverted flare and they sell 3/8 and 1/2 inch online I called the local hydralic shop in town. And what you the guy told me they have all kinds of fittings in stock and he could even make me fittings with low pressure hose attached so I can hook directly to the trans cooler! So now I'm gonna stop after work and get prices for hoses if not I'll just buy fittings and get regular trans line from the mom and pop store
