Well, I kept at it, pulled half the dash apart to trace the wires down and I found nothing visibly wrong, I started checking the wires for continuity, voltage and resistance, started to get conflicting readings on some of the wires. I finally worked my way back to the headlight switch, which is a brand new Motorcraft, I thought the switch may be bad itself, I go to the plugs again and I notice the blue/red wire on the dimmer side is really loose in the socket, so I put a temporary shim down the side of the wire, and all the lights are now working and not blowing fuses. I'm still not 100% sure that this is the actual problem, but the lights on the dash stayed on for 10 minutes before I shut them off. One thing I did notice is that the dimmer switch will not dim or brighten the dash lights I don't know if this is the new switch or if it's something else to do with the wiring, I also have every exterior lamp removed from the truck, I started replacing all the bulbs, the license plate lights were burned out and the corner marker lights on the front were burned our, the one on the left front corner was literally shattered.

I don't know if any of my fumbling around and telling you guys is helping anyone else out but I hope it does at some point.
