Cab mounted LED light bar

Gentlemen

My 14 yr old has been on me about getting a light bar for the cab. I have never been a fan but after installing led bulbs in my headlights and seeing the brightness/color difference with my KC halogen daylighters on. I'm giving a second thought to a LED bar light. I do a lot of hunting on the weekends and always find myself on a dark dirt road and was wondering if a led cab mounted bar would be a good option for me.

I'm not interested in spending a lot of money but there are a lot of options out there. What do some of you use and like? Any recommendations? What size or width for our trucks? Curved or straight? I'm looking for something that will reach out as far as my KCs but brighter. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Gilbert

Here is the one we put on my daughters Jeep from Amazon. It throws some serious light for at LEAST a half a mile I would say. The guy I plow for has one on his sons Jeep, and several from this manufacturer in a couple different sizes on his landscaping vehicles. He has had good results with them. You can spend way more, but why do it?

Thanks HKusp, I have seen those but just didn't know any body that had one. Very affordable.

Don't have one but was planning on one of these kind of middle of the road plus lifetime warranty. 50" LED Light Bar w/ Roof Mount Brackets 1999-2016 Ford Superduty
My buddy bought one off amazon for the top of his jeep not sure what brand it was but there is water in it from washing the jeep now it is fogged up all the time if I got one off amazon I think i would run some silicon on it.

The cab penetrations are a concern of mine too. I've been toying with a 32" curved combo (spot and flood) LED light bar to mount to the top of my bumper in front of the grill. Oil leaks and a busted leaf spring have set me back some serious repair money so add-ons/toys are on the back burner for me right now. I haven't done a lot of research (see previous sentence) but something along these lines:

https://www.amazon.com/Eyourlife-Dua.../dp/B00PRVVZ5G

https://www.amazon.com/ECCPP-Auxilia.../dp/B00L8U114U

Just a thought as a possible option. I don't plow so I prefer the lights in front of me instead of on top shining on my hood (plus the cab mounting concerns).

ProjectLM has some really solid light bar setups for pretty cheap. They're my go-to.

One thing I see with people mounting them on the roof, is sometimes it'll light up the hood also, which you don't want.
Other than that, most trucks I see with them are mall crawlers.
I think I would go with a bumper mount.
