ConsoleVault

Thought I would share. Bought one of these for my console to keep cel phone, money, sm weapon when I am away from my truck. I had looked at the du- ha setup but was only cable secure. Anything I can do to slow down or prevent a thief from taking valubles is a +.
Later.

Best Built Real Truck in America.

I contemplated getting one of these, but I'm on the fence as to whether it would actually prevent theft. It would probably deter a smash and grab, but someone with a bit more time on their hands might would likely just destroy the console and take the whole safe.

Probably right on the destroy thing. But, I think time is essence on the thiefs mind. Around here they have been shooting the windows out with pellets and grabbing whatever they can. I had the extra cash for purchase and you know the old saying. "Better to have and not need, then to need and not have". Good luck with your decision.

Just installed mine. I have the split bench front seat, so I got one that fits in the seat compartment. Absolutely love it. The metal is solid, but the four mounting screws just go into the plastic frame. A bad guy with a crowbar and 5 minutes could pull it out, but it will stop the smash and grab (and unprepared) jerks.

Well Tasca is offering 3-4 models w/ the 4-digit combo lock for $240 shipped through one of the forums and one of them happened to be the model that fits my Expedition, so I went ahead and jumped on it.
