Cab Corner Replacement Question

Hello all. I bought a 1995 Ford F150 XL 5.0 Auto Standard cab a while back. I got it for a good deal and have been steadily doing mechanical work to it for the past few months. The truck looks good from most angles but when you get closer you really start to see all the rust it has accumulated over the years. Eventually i would like to buy/rent a welder and start doing some patch panels in the fender and rear wheel arches. I went to school for restoration and while there i learned welding and bodywork, but i dont have much experience when it comes to replacing more complex things. The wheel arches and fender doesn't really concern me, since those are pretty straight forward. However, the driver side cab corner does. Ive seen the cab corners you can buy online cheaply, and it seems pretty straight forward, but the rust on my truck goes a bit deeper into the door frame, and thats what has me concerned. I'm wondering if there is anything special i will have to do to cut out and replace this rust, and if there is a premade patch panel specifically for the areas that i need. If anybody has any tips or links, please let me know as it would be much appreciated.

Sorry a little late to the party as I don't check out this area.

That part is called a front door rear pillar, they also make a front door front pillar.
It gets put on before the cab corner.

I would pull up the rubber weather strip, remove the plastic door sill plate and peel back the rubber mat and check the floor, rocker & weather strip channel for rot.

I just replaced the both floors, rockers, rear door pillars, cab corners & weather strip channels on my project 81 F100.
sheet metal was bought thru Tabco Parts https://tabcoparts.com/

So you can see how I did mine here is a link to my on going post, you will have to go thru some pages to see how I did it.

If you have any questions PM me, again I don't look over here, with a link to your work and I will answer it if I can.
Good luck

I should of also said to check over your cab to frame mounts as the cab side can rust out too.
