chateau vs clubwagon
This is kind of a noob question, but I've searched the forum and web and I can't find what the difference is between the clubwagon and chateau packages for a E-150. I'm looking at perhaps buying a 2003 E150 chateau and just wanted to know what that package entailed. The only other van I've had was a 94 150 glaval high-top conversion van which is a totally different animal. Thanks for any info

I like the loaded Chateaus with the 'Traveler package' from that era, 5.4, all leather quad seats, dual pull down TVs, rear console with VCR, floor cooler, Dual heat and A/C with ceiling vents, Privacy glass, pop up cargo box in the rear floor, more or less like one of todays Mini van......

A Chateau is a trim level. It is upscale or luxury trim that is included, I believe, only on a wagon. (Or Club Wagon)
It would include nicer seat covers, door panels and heavier carpet. Depending on year may include features that were optional in the Club Wagon.
If you want to know details you may want to find someone that has this:
2003 Ford E Series Van Econoline 20 Page Original Sales Brochure E 150 E 250 | eBay
Or pony up and buy it.

I used to have a 2003 E150 brochure but gave it to the buyer when I sold my '02 E150 van in February.
All passenger vans were called Club Wagons. Base level was the XL, up from that was the XLT, and the Chateau was the highest trim level. The Travelers package got the quad leather captains chairs, etc. (I think in earlier years the Chateau itself had the Travelers package stuff.
I'm guessing you're gonna be able to find the Chateau features on line somewhere, maybe even a free electronic copy of the factory brochure. Or find some Chateaus online somewhere and look at the listed features, compare them to regular XLT's. The XL's were the basic "airport shuttle" type vans that had really basic seating, etc.
