First carshow a success! Thanks to you.

I got the c462 brake booster in, head gasket put in, new brake cylinders in, oil changed, new antifreeze and fresh gas. Drove that bad boy into the Back To The 50's carshow in St. Paul this weekend. That old flathead did not miss a beat. I cruised it slow for an hour 2 separate times with no overheating and no brake problems. I owe much of it to this forum for all of the tips and build threads I have read here. These old trucks are jewels and should be preserved. Thank you guys for all that responded.

I also met a fella from Canada that is a true engineer and a good guy. He had the most incredible F6. He may even be on this forum. He converted his to a Cat powered semi.

Very clean looking truck! That big wood bed is begging for something to haul.

As cool looking as the Canadian rig is, I'm partial to stockers. Good to see your COE back on the road.

I enjoyed seeing both your truck & the one from Ontario at this huge show. Glad you were able to get it ready to roll for Back to the Fifties. Even though there are about 12,000 (not a typo) vehicles at this event I always take a closer look at COE's. The interior of the truck from Canada was pretty impressive. I see you have freezing MN as your location & that didn't fit with the heat during the weekend.

No, it was a scorcher. I am still trying to recover from cooking in the heat for 3 days. Sunblock was useless. Regardless, this truck was great to bring to the show. It is an honest truck. Original, no custom bodywork, no glamour, no ratrod butchery. Just a great old farm truck.

When I was at Carlisle a few weeks back I had a vendor tell me his next event was Back to the Fifties. The way he described it - I've gotta get there one of these days and check it our. 12,000 vehicles is impressive.
