I'm confused on all the turbo stuff

This what I have.
https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/a...1&d=1466368789
Most all the stuff is from a 2002 SD except ar housing and it is 1.15 of my obs and both wheels are out of the turbo so I was wondering if I order a rebuild kit if it will work and if it would be worth doing? I have driverside exhaust manifold and uppies.Would a e99 pedestal make it easier? Or should I just save my money?

No, you can always remove the oil with good ol gasoline why spend on something you already have. 94.5-03 have the same rebuild kit.
List of things you need
E99 spider
E99 pedestal
Gtp38 center cartridge and bolts

You have everything to put in a 38r which will be very good. It will be a lot of work but with the parts pile you have that is what I would do... (I could be wrong but looks like it)

Yup 38r would be sweet, the only upside to my mod is easier removal which was my goal when I experimented swapping turbo parts, but in the end you will end up with a stock turbo.

Can you help me out on more specific parts on the 38r and will it be a direct bolt on? Sorry I'm so slow on all this stuff. I'm not afraid of the work to make it happen I just want to have a clear picture in my mind before I start working on her again (ya my truck is a girl lol). I can't seem to stop working on it now that you all have me hooked

In order to put a 38r turbo on you have to do some slight firewall modification. Other than that it will bolt on with the other SD turbo stuff. It really won't be if it you unless you get bigger Stix though

The 38r is nice turbo but the downside is it's not able to be rebuilt.
