Back glass interchange years?

Wann swap the broken rear slider in the 73' for a solid rear glass. What years rear windshields will fit the dent side cabs?

ALL 1973/79 F100/880's use the same clear or tinted back window glass.

Thank you sir, you're a gentleman and a scholar!

I thought I read somewhere that 80'- early 90's will fit as well, any truth to that?

Well, consider that...
Sliding rear window interchanges: 1973/96 F100/350 & 1997 F250 H/D & F350.

The 1980 and later glass is a bit thinner than 1973/79.

I found a solid glass in a 76' today, will head back and grab it. Thanks for the info.

I love this site. Many thanks to you, NumberDummy. I don't know you but you've answered at least a dozen questions for me over the last year.

Does the thinner glass present a problem? Too loose to use? My 79 needs a new back glass and I haven’t found many donors to plunder.

Old thread.... My understanding is the thinner glass needs the matching seal for thinner glass. Use the one from the donor if possible. If not new replacement seal for the year of the vehicle taking the glass from.

Ps. Do a search do not quote me on that I have not done it before/yet. 99% sure
I know I read it on FTE

Interchange years are 1973-1996. 1997-1998 if you count heavy duty trucks.

Just buy a matching seal to the year of the glass and problem solved.

This 95 fit perfectly in mine.
