Custom switch panel project

Custom switch panel project
When I got my truck last year it already had a Kleinn air horn with a simple push button for activation located below the adjustable pedal switch. Shortly thereafter I installed a set of Rigid SR-Q LED backup lights, which came with a simple illuminated switch. Rather than install that switch, I tucked it under the dash with the intent to install some custom switches down the road. Once I formulated a game plan for my custom switch project, I gathered parts from Digi-Key, Mouser, and OTRATTW and then got to work.
I mounted two terminal blocks inside the dash behind the panel where the adjustable pedal switch it located. They are attached using 3M Extreme fasteners (same type used to mount EZ Pass transponders to the windshield). One is wired as a ground block; the other is wired to the dash illumination wire.
On the top row of this block is a jumper strip with the wire at the end going to my dash illumination. The 2 bottom wires are wired to the 2 switches upper indicator lights, which come on with my dash lights.
Here are the Carling plugs all wired up and ready to go.
Tidied things up a little before putting it back together.
Done! The adjustable pedal switch is factory. The empty slot on the custom switch panel will be used for some auxiliary driving lights in the near future.
Switches illuminated at night. Terrible photo, but you get the idea.
