F-150 to Raptor conversion

Hi all,

I'm new to trucks (I had a Bronco II) but I'm in search now for a newer F-150 maybe a 2009-2010. My plan is to buy it off an auction where the front end is somewhat damaged. The reason for that is I want to fix it up and convert it to a raptor at the same time. Now my question is, is there anyone that's converted a regular F-150 to a raptor? Can you convert it to the new 2017 style or can you convert it only to the same year as what the F-150 is? What complications should I expect if this is possible?
Thanks

You can get a Raptor style grille but that is about it. Everything else would be very expensive as the Raptor is larger and uses different body parts like fenders.
The rear would have to be changed as well so it really isn't worth it. Find a Raptor

You could make it look similar without spending the money for a Raptor. Anything is possible, how fat is your wallet?

Actually, it isn't that difficult. Stage 3 motorsports sells pretty much everything to turn a F150 into a Raptor. As far as the width to match a Raptor, new suspension components are needed for the front(Raptor UCA, LCA, etc.). The rear I think just requires spacers.

The Raptor suspension will bolt straight onto a regular F150.... but for all the conversion cost between the body and suspension I'd opt to go all in on new custom suspension for the plain F150 that would obliterate the Raptor suspension and be cheaper as well. Another thing to consider is how much the Raptor holds its value....you'd lose alot more on a conversion no matter how well it was done. No matter what make sure ya start a conversion thread if you do it we love to watch

Buy a wrecked Rapter? theres a lot of differences between a regular F150 and Rapter mechanically as well. Most Rapters have the 6.2 V8. 4.10 gears, special wheels.....

I just installed the Raptor grill from the dealer. Also bought the wiring harness for the three LED lights witch I had to modify to take off the front camera controls and just hard wire into the side marker lights on the heads. The grill needed a little modification for mounts for the wider Raptor body but was dremmeled off pretty easy.

Someone is working on a similar project to your proposal here: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...or-2017-a.html

Might want to give him a shout with your questions
