Crew cab rear leaf springs

Hey all. I have a 1975 F250 crew cab, 2wd. I would like to get new rear leaf springs for it as I'm sure they're sagging compared to a new set.

Everywhere I look for new Springs, they are all 3" wide. I've measured and mine seem to be 2.5" at the busing. Can anyone confirm this and perhaps give me a place to get a new set?

1973/79 F250 2WD Crew Cab rear springs are 2 1/4" wide. If the auxiliary spring is in place, it's also 2 1/4" wide.

I appreciate the info. That seems right. It's been a few weeks since I measured but I remember the springs being smaller that 2.5. So 2.25 sounds familiar.

Ok, so thanks to NumberDummy's info, I was able to do a little more research and it seems that the rear springs from a '65-'72 F250 2wd are the same width as mine. Can anyone verify that these are the springs I need? Assuming I match the load rating.

1973/75 F250 2WD Crew Cab: There are 3 different rear springs due to 3 different load rates.

The spring pack (less auxiliary spring) has 6 leaf springs (C7TZ-5560-F) w/a 1700 lb. load rate, or 6 leaf springs (D3TZ-5560-L) w/a 2225 lb. load rate.

Or 9 leaf springs (C7TZ-5560-G) w/a 2700 lb. load rate. These springs are 26" > > eye bolt < < 26"

1965/66 is different, some 1967's are the same, as are some 1968/72's without Flex-O-Matic rear springs that are: 24" > > eye bolt < < 32"

Ah ok. Well I appreciate all that. Do you know of any place that sells replacement springs for those? Mine are the 6 pack. Not sure about the load but I think they are the 1700.

I was only able to find 1 C7TZ-5560-G .. 9 leaf Rear Spring NOS @ Green Sales.

No Ford dealer or obsolete parts vendor has any others.

mikeo0o0o0 & HIO Silver may know of aftermarket sources.

I appreciate all your help. The way I see it, I have 3 options. I can have custom leaf springs made, I can just reuse my old ones and make them look purdy, or I can convert the rear to accept 3" springs if I can keep the other dimensions the same. Any thoughts?

And guess what I just found.

1967 - 1979 F250 leaf springs - front and rear

Scroll down to "rear leaf springs" and you will find a section for 73-79 f250 2wd crew cabs. Woot woot.

Here's the 2400# rating: http://www.generalspringkc.com/product_p/43-485.htm

And here's the 3200# rating: http://www.generalspringkc.com/product_p/43-485.htm

Doesn't quite match up with your numbers but at least it gives you options.

On my 79 F250 CC, I found that the rear leaf pack was exactly the same as my 75 F250 4x4(aka a Highboy). Both are 2 1/4"in wide, and have 9 leaves. So I would keep that in mind while looking for springs. Good luck!
