Just to clarify this, You are capable of cracking the injectors and finding out what cylinder it is, in fact I suggest you do so, it would be a good learning experience for you and something that would be nice to know.

Warm the truck up, shut it off, pull the air cleaner off, make sure nothing is going to catch the fan or any other rotating component, start the truck, then take your trusty 5/8 wrench and start cracking one injector line at a time at the injector.

You'll know when you crack the line if that cylinder is good or bad almost instantly!

The only real danger is you getting into the rotating components, not likely if you're mindful of what you are doing!

i will second this!!!
i grew up on a farm and was rebuilding engines by the time i was 10.
was running a body shop with 8 bays at 20. and was paralyzed from mid chest down at 26. took my over 3 years to learn how to walk again and prove all the doctors wrong.

if i had to do it all over again i say i would pay attention is school, get a degree, and do a lot of things different.

but in reality i would most likely do everything the same, except for maybe having the truck wreck that almost killed me when i broke my neck.
