I have not used them. The most common practice around the forum is to use Motorcraft coils, as there seems to be fewer problems with the OEM coils.

Denso COP's on Rock-auto are Motorcraft with a sticker over the part number and half the cost.

If that is true, that is pretty nifty!

Yep, there is thread in the V-10 forum (I think that's where it is....) that has pictures that show when the Denso sticker is peeled off the original Motorcraft numbers are clearly visible.

Those look a lot like the coils I'm currently using.

I bought mine off ebay and haven't had any issues in almost 20k

In my situation it was cheaper for me to order the 10 coils, plugs and boots than it would be just for the plugs locally so even if they were junk they were basically "free" as far as I'm concerned.

10 coils, plugs and boots cost me around $100. The plugs are worth $8 a piece at my local parts place.

I posted my experience/opinion in the V10 forum but was met with lots of negativity and closed minded people repeating the same thing over and over without any first hand experience.

Are motorcraft coils better than the stuff I have? Maybe

Are all aftermarket coils crap? Maybe

Am I happy with my decision? Yes

I could be wrong but the way things are in the automotive world I doubt Ford makes its own coils.
