Water pump help

I have a 95 F-450 Super Duty 7.3,,, I just installed a new water pump. I went to put the clutch fan on and the threaded nut is to big. I looked at the box and it says it is for a F-350.

My question is will a F-350 clutch fan work? Or remove the wrong water pump and put in the right one. I hate doing things twice.

Ended up removing the wrong water pump and installed the correct one. All is well and no leaks.

Hey Oldbird, do you know what the smaller threaded end on the pump shaft goes to? I removed a f-350 clutch fan and a f-250 clutch fan and they were the same size as my 450. I am baffled and just curious. Maybe they put the wrong one on from the manufacturer.
