Caruretor tuning...car shut down when pushing the paddle.
Hi guys, first i had some trouble starting my van a mounth ago so I play a little with the carb but than realized it was my fuel pump so I changed it. The thing is the out side pipe still leaking a little bit (dipping).
Now the van is hard to start when cold ( mostly need to drop some fuel in the carb by the top), but when it is warm this is not too bad, it start well. Moreover, when I pushed fastly or hardly on the paddle the engine when to shut down and I heard a like a windy noise, like a vacuum.
Do you think that my leaking can keep my fuel pressure too low to run properly? Do you know what should I tune on the carb?
Thank you
Kevin

Your van is 34 years old, you have a fuel leak, and you are pouring fuel into the carb to get it started. This is not a good time to learn about adjusting carbs. You should take it to a shop and get those problems solved, then spend some time learning about car (van) repair.
