2008 f-250 trans issues

I have a 2008 for 250 6.4 powerstroke. Issue I am having is occasionally when I shift from drive to reserve it will slam when I shift to reverse. It is an intermittent issue. Anyone have any idea what causes this and what to do? Thanks.

It's usually a sticky solenoid. Often new fluid can clear that up. Use only MERCON SP or MERCON LV.
