push bar / grille guard pics and designs

I've given up trying to find one around here so I'm going to make my own. I'd appreciate any pics or dimensions to inform my design as well as close-up pics of mounting. Of specific interest is pics of designs that attach under the bumper to the frame. I've got a few ideas, but would like to see some options. Thanks!

I can send you a pattern (traced on poster board) of the side plates of the one on the red truck? It is a 3 cross bar set up, with tow hooks on the side. Mounts to the outside of the frame with the same bolt that holds the front leaf in place and then 2 more bolts on the frame rail and the 2 top bumper bolts.

Is nice to be able to pull a couple bolts and swing it down. I also have a chrome 2 bar one that the center tubes bolt to the side plates, both fit the 78/79 bumper pattern. I can trace a pattern of it for you.

Pm me and let me know which one you want, I might be able to get some pics of the chrome one this weekend.

Early 77 Highboy no, but a late model 77 yes. FYI there are 2 different bumpers styles 73-77 and 78/79 and 2 different Catus smashers.

This looks good. Did you build this yourself for $20? Or get lucky finding it for that!

Came upon it at a GoodGuys swap meet from a guy who parted a 79 Bronco... I wasn't interested in his grill insert but this got my attention. The dinky winch was frozen solid.

It's relatively easy to build... the horizontal tubes are slugged to the 1/4-inch thick side plates. Some enterprising fabricator could cut and put together a weld or bolt together kit...

NMFirstF2504X4, both push bar paper traced patterns are in the mail to you tomorrow. Hope you can make sense of my none collage educated, none havein any CAD ability cave man drawings...lol.

If you do convert to CAD, can you send me them via email or mail me a CD? That way I can get my local fab shop to make a few of them for FTE Xmas gifts.

And no worries I traced the chrome ones bumper mount tabs placement on the same sheet of paper. I was just in a hurry to get a pic.

Thanks to the generosity of 77&79F250, I had a great place to start in trying to create some CAD models. Here's an image of the flip down version I have so far (sans the mounting tabs for the top of the bumper). The profile around the bumper isn't quite right, so a bit more work here and then I'll make a version for my 77.
