What Did You Forget To Order

So you thought about ordering a new Super Duty. Like I did, you went to the dealer, got a book, went home & looked at everything available on line, & knew just what you wanted. Went back to the dealer, like I did, & placed you order for your new Super Duty, waited 8 to 12 weeks & went home with your new truck. What did you forget to order, or wish you would have on you truck that you don't. I ordered a Lariat, 6.7, 4X4, factory 5th wheel hitch. Now I wish I would have ordered the interior package.

This is an easy one for me.....prob one of the most important options and I realized it the day after I signed the papers: 4.30 gears and upfitter switches. If you are reading this and you are looking at a new SD take my advice GET THE 4.30s. I love my truck and the 6.2 has a lot of get up and go but I sure would like to have that extra grunt

5th wheel, not that I even have a 5er trailer but just for that once chance Id need it. One thing I would and did skip is the factory bedliner, its rather thin. I opted for a dealer installed spray on bed liner

i forgot to order....

a new truck

lol. one day....one day i will get to experience a brand new SD. i test drove a 13 dually 6.7 back in 2013...wanted it so bad, but even a nearly base model with only power options (rest was basically a work truck) and i couldn't afford it...test driving it was a bad idea, made it worse for me lol

Cab lights. Every superduty should have them imo.

I don't know if it's nation-wide or just regional. Around here they are certainly out of style. MANY of the trucks on dealers lots did not have them when I was looking. I was pretty sure I was going to have to buy them aftermarket and have them installed before I found my truck.

Would have been nice to order, but I feel that I got a better deal buying off the lot.

I got everything I wanted but forgot one little thing... front and rear mudflaps. Had the dealer install them before I picked it up.
Love my 4.30 gears and I would highly, highly recommend to everyone, whether you have one or not today, get the 5th wheel and gooseneck prep kit done by the factory! It is so nice to have versus a clunky aftermarket install.
Other than the cab running lights and moonroof, I got pretty much everything else on mine.
Love this truck!!!

I didn't forget a damn thing, I must have gone over the Ford "build it" website a hundred times. At firist I built a Lariat CC dually, didn't really care for the interior, after a few dozen times crunchin the numbers I said .....screw it. I built a King Ranch CC dually with the basic equip. I wanted, printed it out and took it to my dealer....glad I did, love the truck, love the look of the F450 "Tow Boss" and the great turning radius it gives you. Actually it only added about $3800 to the final price. PS, Yes the cab lights are a must as is the factory 5th wheel/gooseneck hitch platform.......did I say I love this truck?

They probably realize there are people out there like me that think they are the ugliest, hickiest, most redneck thing you could buy on a truck. I will not buy a truck with them. I passed over several because they had cab lights. The only thing that looks stupider is stacks.

In case you can't tell, I'm not a big fan of cab lights.

Well I must really like "stupider" stuff, the cab lights stay and are very functional.....all the better to see me coming down the road.

Cab lights have been on f350's from the factory for a long time. Kinda redneck and hickish to compare them to stacks imo.

Worst part is. I don't have them and I can't bring myself to add them.

Certainly a personal choice on the cab lights, just thought I'd mention it for the OP.

I was extremely lucky to find my truck equipped the way I wanted.
Once I looked over the window sticker, it was a happy moment finding that it had even more features than I bargained for, such as a camper package certificate, anti-sway bar, X-springs, and HO alternator,
and NO clearance lights to get knocked off while sliding into the garage. Have to make sure the sunroof is closed and not tilted up. Unfortunately it didn't come with the optional taller garage door feature.
