1960 Hood Gap

Is there any reason for the giant gap between the bottom of the hood and top of the grill? The giant empty space bugs me and I was wondering if anyone has made a filler piece for it.

Looks good to me. I like that it bugs people. It looks more anti-new than anything built after it. They are not made to be sleek. They wanted bulky and tough. to understand why it's made the way it is, look at earlier trucks.

There is something wrong with that picture. The top part of the grill is in a shadow or missing. Or the picture has been jacked with, which is the most likely.

Yep, I agree willowbilly3. In the right light (or lack thereof) the top center part of the chrome grill I used on the 60 that I restored would appear to disapear and make that gap appear larger.
Just the way Ford styled them.
