Wanted: 300 straight six AC brackets

I am looking for AC brackets for my 1977 F100 with a 300 CI six, short bed, 2WD. I have dealer installed air but PO removed compressor and brackets. I might need idler and water pump and crank pulleys, also. I won't know on the pulleys until I see how it all goes in.

I have PS pump on the driver side and alternator and smog pump on the passenger side. Everything appears to be original.

I would like to run a newer style compressor so brackets from a newer engine could work.

I am in Sacramento CA

Thanks in advance.
Rich

Update: I found the attached drawing and started looking through my parts boxes. I found that I have all the parts to mount my compressor except the the two flat brackets that bolt onto the air compressor.

Those two brackets would help me complete my installation. Does anybody happen to have these? Or know where I can get them ?

Thanks,
Rich

Be aware that dealer installed A/C uses different brackets than factory installed integral A/C. The compressor is also different as is the condenser, dryer and idler pulley(s).

The pic you posted shows a different compressor and brackets than was used on 1973/79 F100/350 300 I-6's with factory or dealer A/C

Bill, thanks for the reply. And you are correct.
I think the brackets I have are from an 84 F150, if I recall correctly. I still think I can make them work, and I will be able to use the newer style compressor (non-York).

I just need the two flat brackets that mount to the air conditioning compressor. Any chance they might be found at one of your nos parts sources?

I'll take a look and let you know tomorrow (Wednesday), but...

Does the upper pic look familiar? Are the 2888 or 19D896 the flat brackets you're asking for?

Your pic (probably from an auto parts store) doesn't show the 19B890 bracket and some of the standard parts (hardware) have different part numbers.

The standard part numbers preceded by a letter are metric.

At least on mine, the original York compressor bolted straight to 19N586. I bought a bracket for around $45 which bolted to both the original bracket and to the compressor. The pulleys lined up, and it was well worth the money. I believe if you do an Internet search for York to Sanden compressor bracket you will find a few different sources.

I have the 2 brackets from the 8 cylinder. The larger one is identical to the 2888 you are looking for. I am not sure if you can make the smaller one work for you. At the very least, you will have a template for the larger one that you need. If you are interested, send me a PM.

Here's a photo of the brackets:

I believe the smaller one would be the 2889 bracket

Got the brackets from a 460 today and the compressor is now mounted. Thanks to all for the help.

Now I have one more part I need. I will need a 3 groove water pump pulley to complete the installation. Any help with part numbers or other compatible vehicle pulleys would be greatly appreciated.

64JMB,
I have another complete setup for the 300/6. After finding mine, I came across another 80/89 style shown in post #5 above. Where are you located?

Ok that is awesome, do you have everything? Will that work on the 1975 300 6? I need all the brackets for the driver side for a sanden compressor. I bought the kit from Nostalgic Air they were the only company that had a aftermarket kit for the 1973-1979 F-Series with the in dash vents. My email is 64jmb@***.net . I am in Phoenix AZ. Let me know.
