Well today looks like a repeat of yesterday. Just get a few things done around the house. We've made real good friends with a couple across the street. They're the folks that have been watching Rocky for us so we could go out of town. And they had their 50 Anniversary this week, and in a tight, fixed income. So Shari and I are taking them out to dinner tonight.
Still no word from the body shop about my truck, that's two full weeks now since we've been back from our trip, and not being told a single thing. I did get to talk to the shop manager for a few minutes this last Friday, and they had already noticed the damaged cowl and firewall. I also let him know that the right front door doesn't fit right, and doesn't seal at the top. And still leans terribly. He too say's there is still a good chance it'll get totaled.
I've found a truck on line, at University Ford, that I'm dying to go see. It's a 2013 F150 Super Crew 4x2 and the only color that I like, Kodiak Brown, with the same interior that I have in my 2011. And a decent price, and I'll naturally offer less. And with the money that we'd get back after our's is paid off, we can get into a newer truck, and if I'm careful and get another good deal, lower our payments.
Y'all have a safe, happy Sunday.

Sounds like that could turn out decent bob!

Pre packing started yesterday for a tip to the Mountains. I'm borrowing a trunk bag for the bike so we will have a little extra room for clothes on this trip. We should be able to get all clothes in the bag and have a little spare room. With rain gear in one saddle bag, that will leave 1 empty saddle bag aswell.

I spent a few minutes yesterday airing up the tires just a little extra for the added weight, also checking and topping off the oil. Today after we buzz around a little bit the old girl is going to be getting much needed bath. Then with exception of a few last minute packing of tooth brushes and phone chargers and other little things we will be ready to strap the bag on and hit the road.

I haven't owned a street bike in a long, long time. Some nice weather for a good ride.
Have fun, and be safe

That it is! We will be pulling out bright and early Thursday morning. I mentioned 7, thinking that was the earliest the wife would want to leave but she mentioned 5... even better!

That sounds like the talk my wife (Shari) and I had before we left for our two week trip a few weeks ago. I asked her how early she was thinking she, could be ready to leave. She say's by 9am.
I told her I'm thinking 6am.... We were in the truck just after 6am.

Here are the roads we are going for...

Talked to the wife some more about what time we are leaving Thursday, she is still good with around 5. So I'm leaving my alarm set for 4:05 and get up when I do for work. Should leave enough time to get ready, cook a little bacon, and be gone by about 5:30.

The Highway 226A, I remember going up to Little Switzerland, was a really curvy road. Since Mary was with me and we were in the pickup, we didn't get to take it too fast or have too much fun with it. If you get Chance to have Lunch or dinner at the Inn though, the food was amazing, and I would eat there again, every chance I get.
