Exhaust tip size on 2016 6.2?

Guys I want to put a nice Black exhaust tip on my truck, anyone know the diameter of the outlet of the stock exhaust? Not sure if its 3 3/12 or 4 or what size I would need for it to slip in?

No
Every tip I ever put on my 97 eventually fell off. Even though I checked them regularly.
It got too expensive for me and I was lucky I never damaged my trailer. So I have never gotten around to it.

I'd like to see pics if you do it. Any tips I've ever had have been welded on and have never fallen off. I have just the factory pipe still on my '11.

Probably not the best angle, but this is the OEM chrome tip. It clamps on. IIRC it requires 80 ft-lbs on the bolt.

I put a 5" polished tip on mine. Made it have a deeper tone.

The Magnaflow 35213 Stainless Steel 5" Exhaust Tip worked for me and looks great.

Mine is a 2012 and this tip has a 3.5 inlet. Had to trim about 4 inches off the factory piping and then whack it on there with a wooden block and mallet.

Holds up to this day and its been on there over 3 years
