Found Part hanging

So the other day I was under the F250 and found this hanging off some lines. It was just resting there and probably would have fallen off in a few days.

Does anyone know what this came from? Seems like I need to replace something.

Is the small end of the shaft (the shiny end) mushroomed like its been hammered on? If so i'd say they were using that to punch in seals in so maybe you aren't missing a part on the truck. That seems like an overly large part to lose and still haven't the truck working normal. Almost like a pulley that the backside of a belt would rest on to help keep tension.

The end of the shaft is rough like it twisted off to separate from the rest of the shaft. Looks like there were some bearings around it or something and they might have frozen. Not really sure honestly and trying to figure it out. The truck does make some weird kind of clunking noise for a little bit but it almost sounds like it's coming from the AC compressor. But hard to tell since the noise can move around.

Front end of the truck. Passenger side.
A/C area makes noise and AC did work for a while but I think that part "flew" and hit something and caused a leak which I am trying to track down.

My impression is of a go-cart clutch/axle assembly. But I could be way off base and its from a lawnmower

So I managed to take apart some of the truck today, and it was what appears to be the clutch for the AC compressor. And it was deteriorating as another part came off when I took it off the truck. here are all the parts I managed to find and the compressor itself.
