In the process of buying this right now. 2001 250, 5.4, auto XL, 151,000. Seems odd that it has a cd player, keyless entry but crank windows. I'm a GM guy so I'm still trying to learn all I can about these trucks, and it does seem a bit confusing. I bought my wife an '09 Flex Limited 2 years ago and we love that thing so hopefully I will love the truck as well.
Plans call for a chrome front bumper and grill, window tint, and I would love to find a power rear sliding window.

So, a couple questions:
Is a 1 piece slider available for these trucks?

Any issues/concerns I should look for or be worried about? I've heard about plugs being impossible to change or blowing out but I'm not sure how much validity there is to that versus urban legend.

Also, what is involved in raising the front? I just want it to sit level.

There is a sliding rear window, power slider came available in late 04 both of my trucks have had sliding rear windows not power though and I have opened them maybe 5 times. On the spark plug issues both are true but only one applies to your truck and that's the one about spitting plugs. There are only 4 threads on in the head for the plug you can tighten the plugs a bit tighter than the stock torque spec and they seem to be ok stock spec was pretty low and probably why there were ejection issues. Leveling kits are about as simple as they can get there are the mini packs and replacement front springs as well as shackle kits that lower the spring mounting points. with either option you will most likely need an adjustable trac bar or trac bar drop bracket to center the axle. It doesn't look like it's far from being level in the pic so your probably going to end up needing the f350 rear block with the leveling kit or the front will be higher. I'd take some measurements and see what it would take to get it level a go from there. I like that color btw believe it is called island blue metallic.
