2000 F250 v10 6.8l 4x4 electrical issue
Ok i joined the forum, because i am finally stumped. My F250 chugged out on the side of the road the other day. Now my fuel pump was having issues and sometimes i had to get out and bang on the tank to get it started, so my first thought was the fuel pump. Well I got home dropped the tank replaced the pump tryed to start and fired for a second then died, well i then tried again and when i turned key I got flickering of gauges and intermittent clicking. After some investigation i pulled the PCM relay and i would get full power to the cab, but as we all know cant start the truck without the PCM. So i pulled the PCM out no burnt smell no burnt circuts cleaned the PCM connector cleaned POWER DISTRIBUTION box and still same problem.
Just to clarify:
I have replaced battery and positive battery cable
I have replace starter relay (fender mounted starter to battery, power box to cab)
checked all fuses.
Is this a potential ground issue? Anyone have an idea of what ground to check?
I am an autobody tech, but i need someone who has electrical experience with these trucks
