I was curious because I'm lazy and wanna change oil less so I rather run synthetic. All the other good stuff that goes along with it is just a bonus haha
I used to run T6 a lot but the samples kept coming back saying the oil was shearing down. Schaeffer's is a blend.
I went 7K (didn't mean too ) with the Schaeffer's and the oil sample came back great. IMO, if you want longer OCI, put a oil by pass filter on.
So I've heard some synthetic brands recommend there oil to go up to 15,000 miles or once a year. What is this bypass system you guys keep talking about. From my understanding all filter systems should bypass if a filter gets clogged some how.
This is an extra filter that filters 10% of the oil flow and filters down to something like 2 microns. Its not meant as a stand alone system, just a system that cleans up, in our case, the soot and the small stuff. Look at FS-2500 Bypass Oil Filter System
