Just rolled in... did some decent buying. They will have a good sized car/truck show on Saturday June 4th, along with live music. Mountains everywhere you look.

Darn, wish I knew about this. I wouldn't have come back to NY last Tues.

 

Came pretty close to there on my way back from Carlisle. Would have stopped but it was about one in the morning. Maybe I can get up that way the next time they have something. It is indeed pretty country. Always been a big fan of the Wood Bros. just down the road in Stuart. Thanks for promoting the event.

 

The promotor has WD40 running thru his veins, he loves to restore cars. Am told they sold 400 vending spaces. Next show is in August. As someone said this show slowly keeps growing and getting better.

Is that the racecar family Woods Brother ? They had a 1960's Ford Cabover car hauler very similar to the one I own.

 

Wood Brothers. Previously based in Stuart, VA, Now in Charlotte, NC. The museum is still in Stuart. Been there a few times. When Elliot Sadler was driving for them, there would be a lot of smashed up cars around the shop. Met a couple of guys from NY (about 20 miles from my house) who were working for the team at that time. Glen Wood's house is about a mile from mine in VA.

All I know it this show felt more like a vacation than a 3 day vending effort. Some pretty laid back people inhabit that area

 

Headed back.... yea it's a 4 hour drive, but dang I enjoy it so so so much. This is held on a sweet campground in the mountains so bring your van rv or tent.
